Women and Youth Participation in Leadership and Economic Activities at the Local Government Level

Tanzania Women Lawyers Association (TAWLA) held a three days workshop to Lindi and Mtwara Local Government Authorities on their role to harness the existing gaps between Law and practice on women access to land and governance.

Village Executive Officers, Ward Executive Officers, Councilors, Social Welfare Officers and Land Officers in Mtwara and Lindi were capacitated on their role to encourage participation and representation of women and youth at different leadership and economic positions.
